At Maas Green Planet, we comply with the Victorian Energy Upgrades program (VEU) under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Act 2007, the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Regulations 2008 and the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (Project-Based Activities) Regulations 2017 (DELWP, 2020).
The aim of the VEU program is to reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable development by offering residential, commercial and businesses access to free energy-saving products and services.

VEU is administered by the Essential Services Commission (ESC), which is an independent regulator of the retail energy industry in Victoria. It oversees the compliance and performance reporting by energy businesses. It also gives accreditation to the persons to create certificates and performs auditing and management. The ESC has also produced the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Guidelines.
To create a sustainable future, the program has laid down guidelines that energy retailer companies need to follow to meet annual greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets while surrendering the Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificate.
